Gift Lighthouse License Plate:
FOR THE PERSON WHO HAS EVERYTHING
We all have friends who have everything and seem to be impossible to surprise and provide with an imaginative gift at a reasonable price. Fear not, we have the solution.
If these friends believe sustaining our marine heritage and environment is key to maintaining Washington’s “high-livability” standard or just love the water and lighthouses -- this is the gift for them.
Unfortunately, State licensing requirements do not allow the gifting of these plates.
However we suggest you use the “gift certificate” above. If you don’t have a color printer, please send an email to gloriaw@wsu.edu with your name and address and the number of certificates needed. We will mail them to you.
Then just slip a check or cash into the envelope with the certificate and it’s done. Beginning in January 2006, there will be downloadable application forms on the State’s website, www.dol.wa.gov/vs/specialityplates/tr-spp.htm. You may want to enclose these forms in the gift envelope as well.
The initial Lighthouse plate will be $40 plus tax (in addition to the regular registration fee). There will be an additional $30 (plus tax) special plate fee due upon subsequent annual renewals -- this could solve your gift giving problem for years to come. In addition, $28 of the gift is tax deductible. So this is the gift that truly keeps on giving.
